About The Position

Sunayu, LLC has an exciting new opportunity to support the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC). We are looking for professionals to help us manage and modernize the IT infrastructure that drives world-class language instruction for the DLIFLC’s diverse academic community. The Security Control Assessor is responsible for conducting independent, comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements within or inherited by an information technology (IT) system. The primary objective is to determine the overall effectiveness of these controls, as defined in NIST 800-37.

Requirements

AA/AS from an accredited college or university or substitute with 3+ years experience.
ACAS, Microsoft Defender, STIGs, Microsoft 365, SaaS Security, RHEL, Windows Server, MacOS, and eMASS.
BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5+ years
AA/AS degree with 7+ year’s experience
9+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) and applicable CE/OS Certification.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough evaluations to ensure compliance with NIST 800-37 and related standards.
Assess control effectiveness, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend enhancements.
Provide detailed reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Work with IT and security teams to implement recommended measures.
Keep up to date with security trends, threats, and best practices.
