Full-Time Permanent Security Chief
About The Position
Help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone at Coastal Carolina Community College by supporting campus security and fire protection efforts. This role is responsible for helping protect facilities and equipment, while also preparing clear and accurate security reports when needed. Work closely with your supervisor and leadership team, maintaining open communication and a collaborative approach to daily responsibilities. You'll lead and support the security team by scheduling shifts, assigning duties, and stepping in to perform all standard security officer responsibilities as needed. Stay up to date on campus safety procedures and be ready to put them into action during emergencies. You'll also play an important role in supporting campus events and coordinating security coverage for college activities. Success in this role comes from building positive relationships with students, coworkers, and visitors, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and service. Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support the needs of the college.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- CPR/First Responder Certification or willingness to obtain within three (3) months.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of experience in security or law enforcement.
