About The Position

As an MST Clinician, you’ll work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team to provide intensive, evidence-based clinical intervention to a small caseload of young people aged 11–17 years who present with offending behaviours and varying levels of youth justice involvement, together with their families. Working under the guidance of a Clinical Supervisor, you’ll provide predominantly in-home and community-based clinical services, working closely with young people, caregivers, families and other key supports to address the factors contributing to offending behaviour. Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is an empirically based, internationally recognised treatment model developed through more than 30 years of applied research. MST takes a whole-of-family and systems-based approach, addressing the factors that influence a young person’s behaviour across individual, family, peer, school/vocational and community environments. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified health professional who is passionate about youth justice and wants to use an evidence-based approach to create real and lasting change for young people and their families. Through the MST model, you’ll develop and implement comprehensive, systemic intervention plans while working intensively with families to achieve sustainable outcomes.
