About The Position

Cheekwood Estate & Gardens is a botanical garden, arboretum, and museum in Nashville. The Security Attendant helps protect visitors, property, facilities, art collections, and outdoor exhibits while supporting a welcoming visitor experience. The role involves monitoring and patrolling the grounds, protecting works of art, responding to incidents, and assisting visitors with questions and directions. Attendants also support special events and help sustain Cheekwood’s mission. Daytime, evening, and weekend shifts are available.

Requirements

• Hold and maintain a valid State of Tennessee Security Unarmed Guard License.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Complete Dallas Law Training.
• Ability to multitask and endure extended periods of standing and walking in all types of weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Security-level experience in the entertainment or hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

• Protect works of art by ensuring visitors do not touch the collection and promptly report problems to the Security Manager.
• Maintain a clean uniform and professional appearance.
• Interact positively with the public by answering questions and giving directions, while maintaining a calm, friendly, and professional demeanor and providing exceptional customer service.
• Respond to incidents as needed; know the locations of fire extinguishers and first aid kits; respond quickly while maintaining radio contact with the Security Base; and complete incident reports accurately and promptly submit them to the Security Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
