About The Position

The Security Associate is responsible for controlling access to the facility, maintaining a visible presence to deter threats, and ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, and contractors. This role involves conducting security checks, managing visitor logs, issuing badges, and responding to emergencies. The associate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate security reports, monitoring alarm and fire systems, and enforcing safety protocols. A key aspect of the role is promoting a culture of respect, integrity, and excellence, aligning with Walmart's values and commitment to a regenerative company.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Controls access to the facility by verifying identifications, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining visitor logs.
Maintains a visible and proactive presence to deter potential security threats and provide a sense of security.
Conducts regular security checks of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
Provides assistance and guidance during emergencies, including evacuations and first aid.
Maintains accurate and detailed security reports, incident logs, and documentation.
Promotes, monitors, and enforces safe work practices and a safe work environment.
Monitors and tests alarm systems, fire systems, and fire suppression equipment.
Conducts security inspections on buildings, grounds, and trailers.
Monitors inbound and outbound trailers via computer applications.
Creates and issues all new and replacement associate badges and visitor badges.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Collaborates effectively with managers, coworkers, and business partners.
Identifies and suggests ways to address improvement opportunities.
Demonstrates adaptability and a willingness to learn.
Adheres to all company safety procedures and guidelines, including using personal protective equipment.
Operates machinery and equipment safely.
Reports any hazards, near misses, injuries, or accidents immediately.
Actively participates in safety trainings and drills.
Maintains cleanliness in work areas to prevent accidents.
Contributes to the continuous improvement of all safety protocols.
Demonstrates awareness of surroundings to ensure own safety and the safety of others.
