Requirements

  • Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the building, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, assisting with entry procedures and directing individuals as needed.
  • Support a professional environment by communicating with staff, visitors, and/or public personnel while following post orders and handling routine security-related duties.
