About The Position

Join Fox Run Village by Erickson Senior Living as a Security and Emergency Services Officer II (EMR/EMT) at a gated retirement community. The officer implements Security and Emergency Services programs and provides outreach within the community. The role includes patrols, gatehouse relief, emergency and routine response, basic medical care, and incident reporting. Compensation is $20.00 per hour. Shifts are 7 a.m.–7 p.m. or 7 p.m.–7 a.m., with at least one day of work per week. Fox Run is a 108-acre continuing care retirement community in Novi, Michigan, managed by Erickson Senior Living.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. A higher-level certification or licensure is acceptable at hire; new hires without EMR certification must obtain it within 30 days.
• Proactive, vigilant, and detail-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service.
• Enforce traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care using basic interventions.
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity.
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS effectively during emergencies.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using the online report system.
