Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in information security, IT support, or systems administration.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, MTA Security Fundamentals)
  • Working knowledge of network and host security concepts, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, and SMTP.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and user account management.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow defined procedures and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the bank’s information security program at Farm Bureau Bank
  • Administer and maintain security systems and tools in accordance with established security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor security alerts and respond to suspicious activity, including unauthorized access attempts and abnormal network behavior.
  • Assist with vulnerability scans and assessments, support remediation tracking and documentation.
  • Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of security solutions used by the bank.
  • Track, document, and assist in the investigation of security incidents and events.
  • Assist with user access administration, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and periodic access reviews.
  • Support third-party security tools and vendors by assisting with routine operational tasks and issue resolution.
  • Follow established incident response procedures and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Assist in maintaining security documentation, logs, and audit artifacts.
  • Support bank-wide security awareness and training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security controls are appropriately implemented in systems and applications.
