About The Position

The Administrative Officer (AO) serves as the principal assistant to the Security Team Manager (STM)/Site Security Manager (SSM) in providing security services and related operations to the data center. Job functions may include client service and problem resolution, service enhancement, Security Operations Center (SOC) systems maintenance, audit compliance, scheduling, system monitoring, log maintenance, access rights maintenance and training support.

Requirements

  • Associate degree and 4 or more years of responsible experience in the security industry and/or business management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess the legal right to work in the job location.
  • Willing to undergo the company’s pre-employment screening process, which includes a background check and drug screening.
  • Able to maintain professionalism and composure in urgent or high-pressure situations.
  • Able to handle sensitive or confidential information responsibly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in staff supervision desired.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact to data center Management and security personnel when the STM /SSM is unavailable.
  • Assist with training and certification activities as delegated by the STM/SSM, including classroom instruction or on-the-job training (OJT) during surges or as specifically requested.
  • Maintain required training documentation at the data center.
  • Coordinate with the Field Training Officer (FTO) and with the local supporting Securitas branches as needed.
  • Ensure all security personnel adhere to policies and Standard Operations Procedures.
  • Act as Screener, Screening Supervisor, Responder or Control Room Supervisor in periods of increased activity or in the case of absent staff.
  • Highlight monthly computer maintenance tasks.
  • Report and/or troubleshoot device and tech issues to ensure operational capacity of security technology.
  • Support other critical infrastructure sites.
  • Recommend corrective actions for security staff to STM/SSM.
  • Assist with the delivery of counseling and corrective action as directed by the STM/SSM.
  • Assist with scheduling, site equipment inspections, and audit compliance at the datacenter and potentially sister sites as needed.
  • Conduct recurring audits and prepare and submit critical and confidential information directly to site leadership team.
  • Maintain required training and security documentation, ensuring accuracy in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Identify security shortfalls and offer suggestions for improving the security program.
  • Evaluate and escalate potential safety issues within the facility.
