About The Position

gTANGIBLE Corporation (gTC) is seeking a Security Administrative Assistant (Access Control) for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. This is a full-time, contingent position requiring an active Secret clearance. The role involves supporting command security programs by developing and implementing security procedures related to access, clearances, and badging. Responsibilities include coordinating visit requests, managing camera passes, processing citizenship verification, and ensuring access list updates are communicated to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in applying conventional fact-finding, analytical, and problem-solving methods.
  • Security experience with security systems administration, comprehension, and security administration skills.
  • Experience with Lenel or other electronic security system administration and comprehension, CCTV operation, watch standing.
  • Experience in Adobe, Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Three (3) years of job-related experience in a Security Disciplines, including but not limited to the following Security Pillars: Physical Security, Anti-Terrorism Measures, Personnel Security, Industrial Security, Military Security Functions, Operations Security (OPSEC).
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • United States Citizen

  • Defense Security Service (DSS), or Military Service Security Courses or Certifications, or other Security System Certifications
  • Physical requirements for efficient navigation aboard US Navy ships
  • Possess the physical stamina to walk continuously for extended periods of time without experiencing significant fatigue. This includes traversing across inclined or uneven surfaces, through/into crowded/confined areas/spaces, up and down ladders/stairs, and in areas of varying environmental qualities.
  • Possess adequate upper and lower-body strength necessary to climb ladders, stairs, and ramps.
  • Possess the physical strength, agility, endurance, and mental constitution required to work aloft (as required). This may require performing work over the side of a ship's hull, on the mast, or in areas on the superstructure and at a height that requires the use of a safety harness.
  • Upper and lower body strength and endurance should also be sufficient for hand-carrying necessary tools, parts, materials, and equipment through narrow passageways, up and down ladders, and into/out of confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Supports command security programs by aiding in the development and implementation of security procedures related to access requirements, clearances, and badging.
  • Assist with citizenship verification, processing and coordinating visit requests with government.
  • Coordinates MARMC camera passes and visits authorization letters with government.
  • Supports personnel access logistics and ensure access list updates are promptly forwarded to appropriate personnel.
