JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The incumbent performs a variety of supervisory/management tasks involved in supervising work efforts of personnel assigned to a shop or work unit. Employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties: Supervises the performance of work performed by employees assigned to the shop or work unit Sets employee work schedules and accounts for time worked by section employees Explains or interprets company policy to subordinates Evaluates and documents employee performance Makes recommendations on wage actions Interviews and makes related hiring recommendations on prospective employees when unit vacancies occur Contributes to the development of operations/expense budgets for the group and controls costs and resources accordingly Provides point of contact (POC) with company technical employees, managers and customer representatives Performs other related supervisory tasks and duties as directed RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION Direct supervision of tool room staff. Responsible for shift scheduling, technical training, and performance evaluations. Enforces strict adherence of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Expert execution of Comprehensive Tool Kit (CTK) or consolidated tool room procedures. Must enforce rigorous check-in/check-out tracking, conduct daily and shift-change inventories, and instantly execute lost-tool procedures to mitigate Foreign Object Damage (FOD) risks. Advanced proficiency in managing Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Responsible for tracking calibration cycles, coordinating pick-up/drop-off with the base Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL), and strictly quarantining out-of-calibration equipment. Oversight of the section's hazardous material (HAZMAT) pharmacy. Requires comprehensive knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), shelf-life tracking, authorized use lists, proper storage segregation, and compliant disposal in accordance with base environmental and OSHA standards. Manages the procurement of replacement tools, consumables, and PPE. Interacts with base supply squadrons and utilizes automated inventory systems. Maintains physical security of high-value assets and restricted areas within the tool room. Administers the section's safety program, ensuring all personnel are briefed on current hazards and correctly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
