The Tisch Cancer Center at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai seeks an accomplished physician-scientist to serve as Head, Section of Thoracic Medical Oncology. This individual will provide visionary leadership for a comprehensive academic program spanning lung cancer prevention, early detection, precision diagnosis, neoadjuvant and advanced therapeutics, survivorship, and translational research. The leader will have the opportunity to build one of the nation's leading thoracic oncology programs by integrating outstanding clinical care with innovative laboratory and translational science. The successful candidate will lead a highly collaborative multidisciplinary program bringing together experts in medical oncology, thoracic surgery, pulmonology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, immunology, genomics, aging biology, artificial intelligence, and computational biology to accelerate scientific discoveries into improved patient outcomes. Institutional priorities include advancing lung cancer immunoprevention, cancer interception, early detection, neoadjuvant and perioperative clinical trials, and precision immunotherapy, supported by Mount Sinai's internationally recognized strengths in pulmonology, precision immunology, cancer biology, biomarker discovery, and translational clinical research.
