The candidate selected for this position will serve as the statewide Section Director for the Technical Operations Group. Work entails directing all aspects of highly confidential investigations and operations by providing expert technical support and training in a variety of electronic surveillance activities. In addition, the position directs any on-site electronic surveillance examination to incident response and search warrant activities, maintains evidence via chain of custody, and provides subject matter expertise on electronic surveillance capabilities. This position will ensure all Technical Operations Group activities are conducted in accordance with The Commonwealth Attorneys Act, the Public Welfare Code, and other applicable Commonwealth laws, statutes, and regulations. Additionally, the position will perform a wide variety of administrative duties. Knowledge of all of the various technologies utilized in electronic surveillance and communications are essential for this position. This position reports to the Deputy Chief of the Bureau of Investigative Services. Assignments may require that the employee work irregular hours and/or an irregular work week and may include extended stays away from the office location to which the employee is assigned.
