About The Position
Enhances public safety of the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia and Department of Corrections (DOC) staff and inmates, by meeting re-entry objectives and by providing effective security, programming, custody, and control of adult inmates in a major correctional facility.
Requirements
- Considerable knowledge of office practices, procedures, and office equipment.
- Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel to accomplish office support requirements.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations related to records storage, maintenance, release, and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated skill in maintaining confidentiality.
- Demonstrated skill in inputting data into an automated database other than Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work, meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Skilled in communicating with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information.
Nice To Haves
- Advance Knowledge in using CORIS and office administration or equivalent training or experience in a related field.
