About The Position

The Cleveland High School CTE Digital Media Teacher is responsible for teaching one or more subjects to students in grades 9-12, guiding them towards intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth. This role involves preparing students for their potential and maturation through effective instruction and classroom management.

Requirements

Valid Tennessee teacher’s license with appropriate endorsement.
Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Meets health and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

Instructs students in subject matter, using various teaching methods, and utilizes technology and other materials to enhance presentation.
Prepares teaching outlines aligned with state standards and provides appropriate feedback on homework.
Administers tests to evaluate student progress, records results, and communicates progress to parents.
Keeps accurate attendance records.
Maintains discipline in the classroom and during extended learning opportunities.
Participates in faculty meetings, professional development, and educational conferences.
Encourages students to maintain classroom behavior standards.
Prepares for class and demonstrates evidence of preparation to the supervisor.
Is available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside of instructional hours.
Assists in upholding school rules, board policies, and administrative regulations.
Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to learning.
Meets and instructs assigned classes at designated locations and times.
Represents the school and community positively.
Performs other work-related duties as assigned by administration.
