About The Position

The Secondary Packaging Manager supports the efficient, safe, and compliant packaging of pharmaceutical products for distribution and retail. The role helps keep production lines operating efficiently to meet production goals and assists management with planning, coordinating, and overseeing secondary packaging operations, training, and investigations. The position also supports scheduling, production forecasting, packaging configurations, line changeovers, efficiency, administrative work, and implementation of packaging policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Five years of manufacturing or production work experience.
• Detail-oriented and dependable, with the ability to supervise employees.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• One year of supervisory training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep production lines running efficiently to meet production goals.
• Assist the Secondary Packaging management team with planning and coordinating packaging operations, and oversee training and investigations.
• Assist with maintaining the NPS Secondary Packaging schedule based on sales needs or the production schedule.
• Coordinate with production teams to forecast secondary packaging operation needs.
• Create WIPS packaging configurations for each lot on the secondary packaging schedule.
• Assist with ensuring secondary packaging procedures are followed when necessary.
• Assist the packaging trainer in developing training for new employees.
• Present and explain new packaging and logistics strategies to the Senior Manager or Director of Secondary Packaging.
• Coordinate training, changeovers, line efficiencies, and scheduling.
• Assist in setting packaging goals and analyzing, developing, determining, and implementing policies, procedures, and programs.
• Assist with reporting findings and recommendations.
• Assist with administrative duties, including personnel rosters, scheduling, and production-line monitoring.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, apparent, or necessary.
