About The Position

Secondary Packaging Maintenance Technicians repair, maintain, and troubleshoot packaging machines, documenting all work while adhering to safety procedures. The role supports automated packaging lines through preventative maintenance, electrical and mechanical repairs, equipment troubleshooting, and daily production-line walkthroughs. Technicians follow cGMPs and good documentation practices, complete on-the-job training, and communicate daily pass-downs to maintenance, production, and management teams.

Requirements

High school diploma or at least 2 years of electrical or mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Must pass a drug test.
Must speak, write, and read English.
Maintenance expertise, skills, and knowledge gained through education and experience.
Ability to take strategic objectives, accept accountability, and drive results through effective actions.
Ability and willingness to change direction and focus to meet shifting organizational and business demands.
Ability to manage oneself effectively, demonstrate integrity, remain productive under pressure, and achieve development goals.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on automated packaging lines.
Follow procedures when performing maintenance.
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on fully automated equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment and apply problem-solving skills.
Use time effectively and manage work appropriately.
Maintain and/or repair conveyors, gear boxes, motors, inkjet printers, sensors, and robotics.
Conduct daily production-line walkthroughs to identify problems before production demands are jeopardized.
Complete on-the-job training in a timely manner.
Follow cGMPs and good documentation practices.
Provide daily pass-down communication to maintenance, production, and management.
