About The Position

SK Food Group is a food manufacturing and wholesale food sales company established in 1943. It produces products for retail, convenience stores, vending, and transportation markets, and offers subcontract manufacturing and private-label services. The Packaging Technician works in Tolleson, Arizona, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor. The role operates production machinery and troubleshoots equipment when needed, following accepted safety practices and completing setup within the allotted time frame. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the position.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
Ability to read equipment manuals and diagrams.
Basic troubleshooting skills.

Nice To Haves

Certificate from an accredited college or technical school in mechanical studies.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate machinery according to accepted safety practices and within the allotted time frame.
Make necessary machine setting adjustments.
Perform film and ribbon changes, including changeover from one dye to another.
Ensure products have the correct components before packing.
Continuously check labels, seals, and date placement throughout the shift for correctness.
Complete and sign all required documentation before each run.
Monitor equipment operation to prevent unscheduled downtime.
Communicate effectively with Production Supervisors, Production Leads, and other Packaging Technicians about situations arising during the shift.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
