About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for performing tasks involving the shipping and receiving of finished materials. This role operates mechanical forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lift trucks. The handler will also operate and maintain an RF Scanner, accurately select orders, complete work order sheets, and notify supervisors of discrepancies. Key responsibilities include ensuring products are correctly labeled, distributing received items, picking and verifying daily shipments, wrapping or stacking pallets, and loading finished goods onto trailers within specified timeframes. The position also requires maintaining an accurate inventory of finished products and supplies, following daily production schedules, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, SOPs, and SSOPs, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • 1-3 Months related manufacturing or food experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of warehouse and lift trucks experience.
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain, purchasing, materials, and/or Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Operating mechanical forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lift trucks.
  • Operating and maintaining RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer).
  • Accurate and timely selecting of orders.
  • Accurately completing work order sheets.
  • Notify supervisor or FSQ of discrepancies.
  • Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storing and use.
  • Distribute the items received to the person or department for which the item was ordered.
  • Daily shipments must be picked, counts verified, pallets wrapped or stacked neatly for pick-ups, marked accordingly to customer, transportation and location of shipment.
  • Load finished goods onto trailer within specified timeframe.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of finished products and supplies in the warehouse.
  • Safety Operate a Forklift, Pallet Jack, and/or Strait Truck
  • Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s).
  • Cleaning and maintaining warehouse floor and facilities as needed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
  • Following set company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times.
