About The Position

The Project Director will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program. This will include building relationships with state and community partners, facilitating recruitment, educating staff about the grant, acting as a liaison, overseeing training and regulatory compliance, reporting information to the State Department, and executing on-site monitoring and learning opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must be currently employed by Bristol Tennessee City Schools.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid Tennessee teaching certificate preferred.
  • Administrative endorsement preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Build a trustworthy, working relationship with the assigned State Department program coordinator, all community agencies and all partners involved in the grant.
  • Act as a liaison to provide appropriate communication needed to organize the operation of the grant.
  • Facilitate the process of posting jobs and recruiting new personnel to fill the positions listed in this grant.
  • Educate current Bristol Tennessee City School staff members about the LEAPS Grant and effectively present the services that are available within the new grant programs.
  • Act as a liaison between the schools and the State Department and all contracted services.
  • Oversee cross-training of all contracted employees that enter our schools.
  • Oversee all regulatory and programmatic requirement issues related to this grant.
  • Report all required information to the State Department in a timely manner.
  • Execute on-site monitoring of all programming at each school site.
  • Organize on and off-site learning opportunities
  • Monitor that documentation is thorough and submitted.
