Second Shift Production Supervisor The Second Shift Supervisor will provide leadership and guidance to a team for 40-50 team members. This candidate will have authority on personnel decisions, hiring, performance, and/or disciplinary action. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think critically, meet deadlines, and lead a dynamic team to safely meet production targets and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience as a Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of lean principles and methodologies
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, assembly, and quality control.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Maintains a sense of urgency with safety, quality and the customer in mind.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing software and systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Adaptable and able to adjust to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient production processes and adherence to quality standards.
  • Plan and schedule production activities, ensuring that production targets are met within the specified timeframes while effectively managing overtime.
  • Monitor, maintain and analyze production data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines and hand tools, are properly maintained and serviced via defined PM activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance and quality control, to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of raw materials and components for production.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among the team.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, identifying areas for improvement and recognizing achievements.
