Quad Packaging is seeking a Second Shift Material Handler (Forklift Drivers) for our Franklin, WI location. This is an opportunity to enhance skills working with advanced Packaging equipment. Employees can expect to be paid an hourly range of $17.50 - $19.50 / hour or more, based on variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions. Requirements

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
  • 1+ Years of material handler/Shipping/Receiving/Baler experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
  • Be able to perform work-related functions requiring the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and percent.
  • Read, speak, and understand the English language sufficient to interpret instructions, job orders, production sheets, and work-related documents.
  • Able to communicate problems and malfunctions to co-workers and lead/management.
  • Must be familiar with machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.
  • Machine repair and maintenance experience preferred.
  • Computer proficient.
  • Must be able to perform and coordinate the multiple simultaneous tasks of monitoring, inspecting, packaging, labeling, and transfer of completed products.
  • Must be able to quickly and accurately compare letters, numbers, objects, pictures, or patterns, including comparing a presented object with a remembered object.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and effectively manages incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Gathers, fills, and/or prepares items for shipment.
  • Counts, confirms, and documents quantity.
  • Determines shipment method, and uses knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Computes shipment space available and/or charges per standard procedures.
  • Loads and unloads shipments, and manages the palletizing and bailing operations to ensure that production processes accurately meet the customer job order and company recycling and/or disposal protocol.
  • Produces a label; prints and proofs the copy; if accurate, prints the appropriate number of labels.
  • Forwards and/or affixes to a pallet as needed.
  • Protects client products and aids the department in securing and maintaining key industry certifications.
  • Maintains the baler room.
  • Cross-trains as assigned.
