About The Position

This position works directly with the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach to assist in all aspects associated with the operation of a successful NCAA Division I women’s lacrosse program. Outstanding technical, tactical and strategic knowledge of lacrosse is required. You will assist in developing and training players successfully tactically, technically, athletically, and mentally in a positive environment; assist in coordination of practice; assist in creating scouting reports, pregame match preparation, and post-game match analysis; assist in making strategic decisions in game situations; assist the strength and conditioning coach and Head Coach in sport science management and implementation of heart rate monitors; assist in developing and implementing the overall recruiting strategy; spearhead film upload and breakdown; assist in all day to day functions including student-athlete management, student-athlete welfare management, and overall staff and program development; attend all necessary meetings with student-athletes and personnel internally and externally on behalf of the university and program; assist in handling administrative responsibilities associated with the programs operations, including recruiting logistics and planning, team travel details, budget, and equipment ordering; assist in building and maintaining working relationships with coaches, administration, and staff on and off campus; assist in fundraising efforts and running special events; and assist in any other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Commitment and ability to maintain and exhibit the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate well to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Previous experience as a lacrosse athlete at the collegiate or professional level.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provides game management, tactical adjustments, post-game analysis and evaluation, and skill instruction to members of the women’s lacrosse team.
  • Instructs all student-athletes in fundamentals, training procedures, and workouts specifically designed to improve skills.
  • Assists the Head Coach in instructing student-athletes during practices and games.
  • Assists the staff in recruiting efforts for the women’s lacrosse program to attract quality student-athletes.
  • Evaluates prospective student-athletes’ athletic performances through video and in-person evaluations.
  • Assists in the strength and conditioning program for women’s lacrosse.
  • Performs administrative duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
