Job Overview Macy’s Checker Markers perform all functions related to processing merchandise. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. Requirements
- No Education or Experience Required
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team
- Must be proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
Responsibilities
- Read header instructions to determine the scanning, marking and audit requirements of each shipment
- Unpack merchandise for processing
- Produce needed bar-codes
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
