About The Position

Jackson Hewitt is hiring seasonal tax preparers to work at tax preparation kiosks inside Walmart. Tax preparers use proprietary software to prepare accurate tax returns, assist clients, and proactively engage Walmart shoppers to build relationships and grow their business. No previous tax experience is needed; free training and ongoing support are provided. Part-time and full-time seasonal positions are available.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong customer service skills.
• Comfortable approaching and engaging Walmart shoppers.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to complete required tax preparation training.
• A valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) is required before preparing returns; the company will help with the application process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tax returns using proprietary software.
• Assist clients with tax preparation.
• Approach and engage Walmart shoppers to build relationships and grow business.
• Complete the required tax preparation training.
