About The Position

Jackson Hewitt is hiring seasonal Tax Preparers to work at tax preparation kiosks inside Walmart. Tax experience is not required; the company provides free training and ongoing support. The role involves preparing accurate tax returns using proprietary software, assisting clients, and proactively engaging Walmart shoppers to build relationships and grow the business. Positions are available on a part-time or full-time seasonal basis.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong customer service skills.
• Comfort with approaching and engaging Walmart shoppers.
• Self-motivation and comfort working independently.
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to complete required tax preparation training.
• A valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) is required before preparing returns; assistance with the application process is available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tax returns using Jackson Hewitt's proprietary software.
• Assist clients with tax preparation.
• Approach and engage Walmart shoppers to build relationships and grow the business.
