About The Position

Jackson Hewitt is hiring seasonal Tax Preparers to work at tax preparation kiosks inside Walmart. The role is suited to friendly, outgoing, self-motivated people who enjoy meeting new people and working independently. No prior tax experience is needed; free tax preparation training and ongoing support are provided. Tax Preparers use proprietary software to prepare accurate tax returns, assist clients, and proactively engage Walmart shoppers to build relationships and grow their business. Part-time and full-time seasonal schedules are available.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality and strong customer service skills.
Comfortable approaching and engaging Walmart shoppers.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
Ability to complete required tax preparation training.
A valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number is required before preparing returns.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate tax returns using Jackson Hewitt's proprietary software.
Assist clients with tax preparation.
Proactively approach and engage Walmart shoppers to build relationships and grow the business.
Complete required tax preparation training.
Obtain a valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number before preparing returns; Jackson Hewitt will assist with the application process.
