About The Position

Jackson Hewitt is hiring a seasonal Tax Preparer to work at a tax preparation kiosk inside Walmart. The role involves preparing accurate tax returns using proprietary software, assisting clients, and proactively engaging Walmart shoppers to build relationships and grow business. No prior tax experience is required; free tax training and ongoing support are provided. Part-time and full-time seasonal schedules are available.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong customer service skills.
• Comfort approaching and engaging Walmart shoppers.
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to complete required tax preparation training.
• Valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) required before preparing returns; the company will help with the application process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tax returns using proprietary software.
