About The Position

Jackson Hewitt is hiring seasonal tax preparers to work at tax preparation kiosks inside Walmart. No prior tax experience is required; the company provides free tax preparation training and ongoing support. Tax preparers use proprietary software to prepare accurate tax returns, assist clients, and engage Walmart shoppers to build relationships and grow their business. Part-time and full-time seasonal positions are available.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality and strong customer service skills.
• Comfortable approaching and engaging Walmart shoppers.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to complete required tax preparation training.
• Valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) required before preparing returns; assistance with the application process is available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tax returns using Jackson Hewitt's proprietary software.
• Assist clients with tax preparation.
• Approach and engage Walmart shoppers to build relationships and grow business.
• Complete required tax preparation training.
