About The Position
Jackson Hewitt is hiring seasonal tax preparers to work at a kiosk inside Walmart. This entry-level position includes training for applicants without tax experience and offers full-time and part-time positions. You will engage shoppers and Walmart team members, meet with clients to help them through their taxes, answer questions from walk-ins, and use computer systems in a fast-paced retail setting. You will work independently while receiving support from leadership and experienced tax professionals. The role is seasonal and provides flexible scheduling, tax preparation training, continuing education, and opportunities for advancement.
Requirements
- Enjoy connecting with people and providing a positive customer experience.
- Be a self-starter who can work independently and contribute to a team.
- Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Have basic computer skills.
- Obtain PTIN certification.
Responsibilities
- Proactively speak with Walmart shoppers and team members to promote the tax preparation services.
- Meet one-on-one with clients to guide them through their taxes.
- Answer questions from walk-in clients.
- Complete tax preparation training and maintain a willingness to learn.
- Use computer systems to support tax preparation work.
