About The Position

Käthe Wohlfahrt of America is seeking a result-driven Store Manager for the seasonal Christmas Village market location in Chicago, IL. The role involves managing daily operations, overseeing the retail business, processes, and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for motivating and training staff, upholding visual and merchandising standards, and creating a magical Christmas atmosphere. A background in retail management is preferred.

Requirements

• Ability to work and stand in a busy retail environment for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift 25lbs and team lift 50lbs
• Strong communication and computer skills

• Background in retail management
• 3-5 years of previous retail or supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operations and retail business, processes, and staff
• Recruit, hire, and train staff
• Coach and give team feedback to create high level of customer service within the tent
• Manage payroll and scheduling, while remaining within store payroll budget
• Effectively manage customer service issues
• Create an engaged team through staff meetings and contests
• Manage receiving and inventory processes
• Create and uphold excellent visual displays and standards
