About The Position

The Seasonal Peak Associate is a seasonal part-time or full-time role responsible for processing and preparing deliveries of merchandise, fixtures, and supplies at the assigned store. The associate also helps move, stock, and replenish merchandise in sales-floor and receiving areas.

The position works primarily in a climate-controlled environment, though conditions may vary across sales, stockroom/receiving, and operations/office areas, including temperature, dust levels, and accessibility. Work involves extended periods of remaining stationary, moving, and positioning oneself to complete tasks, as well as frequent physical activity. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Other duties may be assigned, and management may revise the job description. Requirements

• Basic math and reading skills.
• Legible handwriting.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform physical activities including using hand tools, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, and lifting frequently.

Nice To Haves

• Prior merchandise receiving, handling, and stocking experience in retail or warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Company’s freight management process when unloading.
• Unload merchandise, fixtures, and other supplies from trucks and direct them to designated areas on the sales floor.
• Prepare merchandise for the sales floor by removing packaging, verifying price information, and ticketing where necessary.
• Process merchandise as directed and in accordance with Company procedures.
• Perform ongoing recovery during the shift as needed, including collecting trash and compacting cardboard.
• Work independently and as part of a team to accomplish assigned goals.
• Operate a cash register as needed.
• Recover receiving areas and the sales floor before the end of each shift.
