About The Position

This role is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production areas and lines according to standard operating procedures. The position requires adherence to plant safety rules, effective teamwork, and initiative in improving operations. The sanitation worker must be able to operate various sanitation equipment, understand CIP systems, and perform grounds keeping duties when assigned. This is a seasonal position with a specific shift and hourly rate.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with plant safety rules and guidelines.
  • Positive attitude, ability to work well as a team, and initiative in improving company operations.
  • Ability to work effectively with other departments.
  • Licensed forklift operator or ability to become licensed.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions to complete tasks.
  • Ability to operate all sanitation equipment – including but not limited to high-pressure hoses, chemical foaming unit, titration testing equipment.
  • Obtain knowledge of all operations equipment in the area assigned.
  • Ability to learn, understand and use CIP systems.
  • Ability to bale cardboard.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to become licensed forklift operator.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all sanitation equipment, including high-pressure hoses, chemical foaming units, and titration testing equipment.
  • Gain knowledge of all operations equipment in the assigned area.
  • Clean and sanitize production areas and lines as assigned per standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is clean and ready to run at the start of the shift.
  • Notify the sanitation lead of any issues that may prevent timely completion.
  • Learn, understand, and use CIP systems.
  • Bale cardboard.
  • Perform grounds keeping when assigned.
