About The Position

This role is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production areas and lines according to standard operating procedures. The position requires adherence to plant safety rules and guidelines, effective teamwork, initiative in improving operations, and the ability to work with other departments. The sanitation team ensures equipment is clean and ready for use at the start of each shift and reports any issues to the sanitation lead. Responsibilities also include grounds keeping when assigned and baling cardboard. The role involves operating sanitation equipment such as high-pressure hoses, chemical foaming units, and titration testing equipment, as well as learning and using CIP systems.

Requirements

Familiarity with plant safety rules and guidelines.
Positive attitude.
Ability to work well as a team.
Initiative in improving company operations.
Ability to work effectively with other departments.
Licensed forklift operator or ability to become licensed.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Ability to operate all sanitation equipment – including but not limited to high-pressure hoses, chemical foaming unit, titration testing equipment.
Obtain knowledge of all operations equipment in the area assigned.
Capable of learning, understanding and using CIP systems.

Perform grounds keeping when assigned.
