Seasonal Returns Processor - 1st Shift
About The Position
Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Seasonal Returns Processor for their Distribution Center. This role is responsible for processing, sorting, and labeling returned product according to publisher instructions, updating inventory systems, and communicating with supervisors. The position is seasonal, expected to last through the facility’s peak season (June-September), with opportunities for full-time employment potentially offered post-season. Overtime opportunities are available and may be mandatory during peak season. The company fosters a team-winning culture and is committed to safety.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience
- Basic computer skills needed to accurately scan, sort, and process products
- Proven success working in fast-paced, high-demand seasonal periods
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout duration of 8 to 10-hour shift
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) to be able to collaborate with team members and follow direction from leadership
Responsibilities
- Process, sort, and label returned product per publisher instruction
- Accurately update inventory systems and record return reasons and/or codes
- Communicate with supervisors regarding discrepancies
- Adherence to all safety policies
