About The Position
As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague, you combine results-oriented selling with genuine hospitality to create positive holiday shopping experiences. You learn what customers need, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with appropriate products and services. Through product knowledge and personal engagement on the sales floor or in fitting rooms, you help meet sales goals, build customer trust, and encourage loyalty. The role also involves maintaining a clean, organized, inviting shopping environment and supporting the team in delivering strong customer service.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Ability and motivation to meet daily sales goals.
- Enjoyment of meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Resourcefulness, adaptability to changing priorities, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to use electronic devices.
- Ability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
- Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and engage them in friendly, personal conversations to understand their needs and build customer relationships.
- Offer personalized product and service recommendations, share product knowledge, and use effective selling behaviors to achieve sales goals.
- Review sales goals and stay informed about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable sales floor.
- Merchandise new receipts; process damages, testers, and selected merchandise for return to vendors; update signs and pricing; and support merchandise moves.
- Share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and provide a sincere closing and thank-you.
- Collaborate with and support teammates with honesty, care, and a focus on serving customers and communities.
- Use electronic devices, handheld equipment, and cash registers to perform job functions and process transactions.
