As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague, you combine results-oriented selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, provide personalized recommendations, and connect them with appropriate products and services. Through product knowledge, customer engagement, and smart selling behaviors, you work toward sales goals, build trust, and encourage customer loyalty. You help maintain a clean, organized, inviting, and shoppable sales floor. Colleagues prepare for each day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals and top-selling items, and keeping up with trends and promotions. During customer interactions, they offer a warm welcome and build personal relationships. They also merchandise new receipts, process damages and items selected for return to vendors, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves. They share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and close interactions with a sincere thank-you. Teamwork, continuous improvement, and learning from colleagues support individual and store results. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and colleague availability. The position requires flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as dependable attendance and punctuality. Physical duties include talking, lifting, constant movement, standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. The role also involves use of computers, handheld equipment, and a cash register to process transactions.
