Seasonal Retail Fragrances Sales Associate, Dayton Mall
About The Position
As a Seasonal Fragrance Sales Support colleague, you will help create a warm, inviting experience in the fragrance department. You will maintain a beautifully merchandised, fully stocked space while supporting the sales team behind the scenes and on the floor. Tasks include preparing products, restocking displays, and assisting with transactions. Your attention to detail and hospitality help ensure every guest feels cared for. The role combines customer service and operational support. You will anticipate team needs, keep the space ready for customers, and help create memorable moments during the busy holiday season. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled 10–20 hours per week, with hours dependent on business needs and colleague availability.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Resourcefulness and adaptability to changing priorities; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
- Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Help keep the sales floor clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
- Review sales goals and learn about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions.
- Welcome customers and create friendly, personal conversations that build customer relationships.
- Maintain a shoppable space by merchandising new receipts, processing damages and testers, and selecting merchandise to return to vendors.
- Update signs and pricing and support merchandise moves as needed.
- Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, thank customers, and help carry packages when appropriate.
- Support teammates through honesty, care, and collaboration.
- Strive to improve, achieve sales goals, and contribute to individual and store results.
- Assist with transactions using register and handheld equipment.
