Seasonal Retail Fragrances Sales Associate, Montebello Town Center
About The Position
As a Seasonal Fragrance Sales Support colleague, you help create a warm, inviting experience in the fragrance department. You maintain a beautifully merchandised, fully stocked space while supporting the sales team behind the scenes and on the floor. Tasks include preparing products, restocking displays, and assisting with transactions. The role combines customer service and operational support, anticipating team needs, keeping the space shop-ready, and helping create memorable customer experiences during the busy season. Colleagues typically work 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and availability.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Resourceful, eager to start a new venture, and adaptable to changing priorities; able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
- Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Ability to frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Help keep the sales floor clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
- Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay informed about trends and promotions.
- Welcome customers and create friendly, personal conversations that build customer relationships.
- Maintain a shoppable fragrance department by merchandising new receipts, processing damages and testers, returning selected merchandise to vendors, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves.
- Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, thank them sincerely, and help carry packages when appropriate.
- Support colleagues with honesty, care, and collaboration.
- Strive to improve, achieve sales goals, and contribute to individual and store results.
- Assist with transactions and use register and handheld technology as needed.
