Seasonal Retail Fragrances Sales Associate, Orchard Town Center
About The Position
As a Seasonal Fragrance Sales Support colleague at Macy’s Orchard Town Center, you help create a warm, inviting experience in the fragrance department. You maintain a well-merchandised, fully stocked, shop-ready space while supporting the sales team on the floor and behind the scenes. Tasks include preparing products, restocking displays, assisting with transactions, and providing attentive hospitality to customers. The role combines customer service and operational support during the busy seasonal period. You anticipate team needs, keep the department organized, and help customers feel welcome and cared for. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week, with hours depending on business needs and colleague availability.
Requirements
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges.

- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Help ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
- Review sales goals and learn about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions.
- Welcome customers, engage them in friendly and personal conversations, and build customer relationships.
- Maintain a shoppable fragrance department by merchandising new receipts, processing damages and testers, and selecting merchandise to return to vendors.
- Update signs and pricing and support merchandise moves as needed.
- Assist with customer transactions and share the benefits of the Loyalty program.
- Ensure customers have what they need and provide a sincere, personalized farewell.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support one another to serve customers and communities.
- Work toward sales goals, take pride in the work, and learn from colleagues to improve individual and store results.
