Seasonal Retail Fragrances Sales Associate, Valley View Mall
About The Position
The Seasonal Fragrance Sales Support colleague helps create a warm, inviting experience in Macy’s fragrance department by maintaining a fully stocked, beautifully merchandised space and supporting the sales team on the floor and behind the scenes. The role includes preparing products, restocking displays, assisting with transactions, and anticipating team needs so the department remains shop-ready during the busy season. Colleagues welcome customers, build relationships through friendly conversations, share product and promotion information, and support sales goals. They maintain merchandise and displays, process damages and testers, prepare select merchandise for return to vendors, update signs and pricing, and assist with merchandise moves. They also share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and provide a sincere closing thank-you. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and colleague availability. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.

- Ability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands.

- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked, and shoppable fragrance sales floor.
- Prepare products and restock displays, and merchandise new receipts.
- Welcome customers, engage them in friendly conversations, share product information, and help build customer relationships.
- Review sales goals and stay informed about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions.
- Support sales goals and assist with customer transactions.
- Process damages and testers, prepare select merchandise for return to vendors, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves.
- Share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and thank customers at the end of their visit.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support the team with honesty, care, and adaptability.
