About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a Seasonal Resort Associate to provide care and focused attention for pets at its Richmond Airport resort. The role involves supervising and interacting with pets indoors and in outdoor play yards, following feeding instructions, maintaining clean suites and common areas, monitoring pets’ well-being, and following safe handling and security procedures. The position requires physical labor and flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Requirements

Have a genuine passion for working with animals.
Maintain a cheerful, friendly, positive, team-oriented attitude.
Be comfortable around dogs of all sizes and physically able to lift up to 60 lbs.
Be flexible to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
Be able to receive instructions and adapt to change and training material.
Be able to perform considerable physical labor, including pet handling, walking, cleaning, and suite maintenance.

Responsibilities

Supervise and interact with pets inside the resort and outside in play yards.
Follow instructions for pets’ feeding times, food amounts, and food types.
Clean suites and dog runs by disinfecting, washing floors, scrubbing walls, and removing animal waste.
Empty trash, mop floors, and clean restrooms, common areas, and the employee breakroom.
Monitor and record important information about pets and report unusual behavior, injuries, or critical information to management and veterinary services when applicable.
Use proper dog-handling techniques as instructed by management.
Keep dogs secure and support pet safety by following training policies.
