About The Position

The Mitten Brewing Company is looking for enthusiastic, outgoing, and hard-working individuals to join our support team. Our goal is to provide guests with the best beer and pizza experience in Grand Rapids. Part-time positions available through September, with potential for permanent employment for the right candidate. Ideally, these positions will be as close to a 50/50 split as possible.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Dependable and trustworthy
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing personality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the phone
• Consistently positive, hospitality-focused mindset
• Hardworking and willing to take initiative
• Team player who is versatile and adaptable
• Able to learn quickly and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to use stairs frequently and lift up to 30 lbs
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of serving or bartending experience

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, attentive service to all guests and coworkers
• Greet guests and help create a welcoming atmosphere
• Learn and confidently speak about food and drink menus
• Manage guest seating and waitlists using digital systems
• Answer phones, take orders, and assist with guest inquiries
• Use POS systems to process orders accurately
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff
• Garnish, run, and expedite food orders
• Assist with stocking and maintaining kitchen/expo areas
• Complete cleaning, side work, and assigned tasks during downtime
• Support dish station and other areas as needed
