About The Position

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Seasonal Production Associate to join its Supply Chain Team in Marysville, Ohio, at the company’s world headquarters. The role supports manufacturing operations and production-line quality while following plant safety and housekeeping standards. The position pays $21.00 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements

• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Ability to climb on and off required equipment and climb multiple flights of stairs, and meet man-lift requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to read and write English and/or follow instructions.
• Must pass the minimum fit-for-duty physical annually.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in dusty, hot, cold, or humid conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and remain on one’s feet for 8–12 hours per day.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude, including ability to make equipment adjustments to meet product specifications and quality requirements.
• Teamwork skills and willingness to promote teamwork across production lines, departments, and shifts.
• Ability to perform prolonged, repetitive physical movements, including standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead, and using arms and hands dexterously.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of production plant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment safety checks before operation.
• Complete daily assignments as directed by a Group Leader or Supervisor.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in the assigned area.
• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials.
• Ensure needed materials are stocked and available.
• Learn and operate multiple pieces of automated equipment and move between workstations as needed.
• Communicate production-line performance information to peers and supervisors, including assembly, operation, and line performance.
• Perform manufacturing inspections to ensure plant quality standards for granular packaging products and display units.
• Follow plant safety rules and programs for personal and associate safety.
