About The Position

Scotts Miracle-Gro is hiring a Seasonal Production Associate for its Supply Chain Team at the company’s world headquarters in Marysville, Ohio. The role supports production operations, including safely operating equipment and a forklift, keeping materials available, maintaining an orderly work area, and performing quality inspections on granular packaging products and display units. Associates may learn and operate multiple automated machines and move among workstations as needed. The position pays $21.00 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to read and write English and/or follow instructions.
• Must pass the minimum fit-for-duty physical annually.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in dusty, hot, cold, or humid environments.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and remain on one's feet for 8–12 hours per day.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to make equipment-adjustment decisions to meet product specifications and quality standards.
• Ability to work as a team member and promote teamwork across production lines, departments, and shifts.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of production plant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment safety checks before operating equipment.
• Complete daily assignments as directed by the Group Leader or Supervisor.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in the assigned area.
• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials.
• Ensure required materials are stocked and available.
• Learn to operate multiple pieces of automated equipment and move between workstations as needed.
• Communicate production-line performance information to peers and supervisors, including information about assembly, operation, and line performance.
• Perform manufacturing inspections to ensure plant quality standards for granular packaging products and display units.
• Follow plant safety rules and programs for personal and coworker safety.
