About The Position
The Production Associate sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production or processing operation. The role is responsible for producing complicated components, subassemblies, and final assemblies from blueprints and work instructions, and maintaining accurate records and logs and collecting data for Engineering. The position reports to the Production Supervisor and is on-site in Cortland, New York. The shift runs Sunday through Thursday, 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of production/manufacturing experience or other applicable experience.
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate equipment in a related area to produce components, subassemblies, and final assemblies from blueprints and work instructions.
- Work under the direction of supervisors or more experienced personnel, with little supervision.
- Maintain accurate records and logs, and collect data for Engineering.
