About The Position

The Seasonal Peak Associate is a seasonal part-time or full-time position responsible for processing and preparing receipts of merchandise, fixtures, and supplies at an assigned store location. The role also assists with moving, stocking, and replenishing merchandise in receiving areas and on the sales floor. The work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety or health hazards. Store conditions vary and may include sales, stockroom/receiving, and operations/office areas with differing temperatures, dust levels, and accessibility. The position involves extended periods of remaining stationary, moving, and positioning oneself to complete tasks, as well as frequent physical activity.

Requirements

Basic math and reading skills.
Legible handwriting.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use hand tools and frequently bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift.
Ability to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays.
Ability to remain stationary, move, and position oneself for extended periods to complete assigned tasks.

Nice To Haves

Prior merchandise receiving, handling, and stocking experience in retail or warehouse environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow the Company’s freight management process when unloading.
Unload merchandise, fixtures, and supplies from trucks and direct them to designated areas on the sales floor.
Prepare merchandise for the sales floor by removing packaging, verifying price information, and ticketing items where necessary; process merchandise according to Company procedures.
Perform ongoing recovery throughout the shift, including collecting trash and compacting cardboard.
Work independently and as part of a team to accomplish assigned goals.
Operate a cash register as needed.
Recover receiving areas and the sales floor before the end of each shift.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
