About The Position
The Township of Oro-Medonte is currently seeking applicants for the position of Contract - Seasonal Parks & Facilities Labourer for the Operations and Community Services Department. Reporting to the Supervisor, Parks & Facilities, the Seasonal Parks & Facilities Labourer shall be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day maintenance of the Township's facilities and parks.
Requirements
- Able to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 20 kilograms
- Ability to climb to heights on a ladder
- Available to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a variety of environmental conditions
- Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License
- Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
- Vulnerable Sector Screening
Responsibilities
- Participating in the fall cleanup of parks, playgrounds, and ball diamonds
- Assisting with the set-up of community ice rinks for the winter
- Provide general labour such as set up, take down, maintenance, and repairs as directed
- Assist with the inspection of facilities and parks as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Benefits
- Salary commensurate with experience and education (2026 wage schedule range of $22.95-28.56 per hour)
