About The Position

The Park Services Team is dedicated to keeping each location’s public areas clean and presentable at all times. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness of the park in both outdoor and indoor office spaces, executing tasks as outlined in training and Standard Operating Procedures, and completing regular and rotating weekly cleaning tasks. The position also requires providing exceptional guest service by assisting guests with their questions or issues, ensuring park pathways and patios are litter-free, maintaining clean condiment and food line areas, and ensuring trash receptacles are clean and free of spills. Additionally, the role involves sweeping and/or mopping interior floors, reporting maintenance problems, ensuring benches and flowerbeds are clean and free of debris, keeping parking lots free of trash, protecting guests' belongings, delivering lost and found items, proactively monitoring the park for safety hazards, maintaining records of work completed and safety inspections, and ensuring ADA standards are met. Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age to comply with Connecticut Child Labor Laws
• Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift
• Ability to comply with all uniform policies
• Must possess strong attention to detail and desire to keep park clean and presentable
• Ability to safely and properly use a variety of cleaning equipment, including brooms and mops
• Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with all park guidelines
• Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
• Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
• Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of the park in both outdoor areas and indoor office spaces
• Execute tasks as outlined in training and Standard Operating Procedures
• Complete regular and rotating weekly cleaning tasks as assigned during shift periods
• Provide exceptional guest service by assisting guests with their questions or issues
• Ensure the park pathways and patios are litter free
• Maintain clean condiment and food line areas
• Ensure trash receptacles are clean and free of spills visually
• Sweep and/or mop interior floors
• Accurately and promptly report maintenance problems to proper authorities
• Ensure benches and flowerbeds are clean and free of debris
• Ensure parking lots (guest and employee) are free of trash
• Protect guests' belongings, deliver lost and found items immediately
• Proactively monitor the park for safety hazards (e.g. wet floors, tripping hazards, etc.)
• Maintain records on all work completed and safety inspections
• Ensure ADA standards are met in each location
• All other duties and special projects assigned by leadership
