About The Position
The Seasonal Merchandising role is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes customer service, cashiering, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining merchandising standards, and participating in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, respect, and constructive feedback, follows applicable labor laws and company policies, and performs other assigned duties. The position is at TJ Maxx Store 0843 in Flanders, New Jersey. The starting pay range is USD $15.92 to $16.42 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfied customer experience and model established customer experience practices.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and participate in maintenance and cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
